Checking In

Hello all,
Lots of great things are going on in math and science. Here's what's happening:

Math
The kids continue to impress me with the problems they come up with for Math Races. We have discussed factorials, long division, complex multiplication, and a little algebra. I have put a couple of links on the side of the blog that can help both you and your child investigate the world of math. We are wrapping up our study of place value and will be pushing on to some computation review. Please keep your children working on their basic facts because fluency with the facts will really pay off as we work on more difficult computation problems.

Science
We will finally start our terrariums on Tuesday of next week. We spent the past week discussing organisms and cells. This will provide a good foundation as we move onto our study of habitats and ecosystems.

Have a wonderful holiday weekend.

Chris
